Biography
Carmesha Blackmon ’22 a Greensboro, NC native and Bennett College alumna, currently serves as a Senior Talent Development Specialist at ABC News and its eight owned-and-operated local stations. In her role, she has achieved significant results with measurable impacts on the company. Carmesha oversees sponsorships for journalism conferences and storytellers’ summits, where she highlights the voices of diverse talent. She manages logistics, hosts development programming sessions, collaborates with external partners to ensure the success of these programs and to create future ideas for talent development.
In addition, she is the co-founder of X·ALT, a clothing brand specializing in sophisticated contemporary apparel. Her passion for fashion began as a child playing dress-up in her mother’s closet. She is dedicated to helping women feel confident and empowered through fashion.
